Shock reverberated around Court Central this afternoon when Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the tournament in the second round by Sam Querrey 0-6 7-6 6-4. In the first set Djokovic seemed to dominate play winning 6 straight sets. However, Querrey fort back in the second set winning the tie-break and levelling the playing field. This is the first time Sam Querrey, ranked 32, has beaten a top 3 ranked player.
Else where at the Paris Masters, Andy Murray won the tie-break in the first set and breezed through the second set, defeating Frenchman Mathieu 7-5 6-3.
David Ferrer defeated Granollers 6-1 6-3 in what was an easy match for Ferrer.
Richard Gasquet was beaten by Kevin Anderson 7-6 4-6 6-1 after Gasquet's fight back in the second set wasn't enough to get him through the second round.
