World Number 5, David Ferrer stayed on course to win his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title as he defeated 2008 champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-2 7-5 in Friday's quarter final. Both Ferrer and Tsonga will appear at the ATP World Tour Finals in London next week.
The fourth-seeded Ferrer did not face a break point and broke Tsonga three tomes from nine opportunities to claim victory in 80 minutes.
In the other quarter final Llodra defeated Sam Querrey 7-6 6-3 in 79 minutes to reach the semi-final at the Paris Masters. Llodra made 13 aces and saved all five break points he faced. The Frenchman is yet to drop serve in his four victories this week.
