The Davis Cup player confirmed in December 2012 that he was diagnosed with the illness and was being treated at the Royal Marsden hospital in London.

Hutchins confirmed the good news on twitter: "Was a big day today. Met my oncologist and I am now in remission. So grateful to fantastic Professor Cunningham and his team at Royal Marsden," he tweeted.

"Thank you to everyone for your constant, incredible support, I couldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of you, I really mean that!"

Hutchins has confirmed his desire to return to competitive tennis after a very successful 2012 where he reached 4 double's finals with partner Colin Fleming.
