Wimbledon: David Ferrer fights hard to reach the quarter-finals

Spain's David Ferrer had to fight hard in the first two sets, but cruised through the final two sets to overcome Ivan Dodig to book his place in the quarter-finals.

The world number four overcame his Croatian opponent 6-7 7-6 6-1 6-1 on court number two. The Spaniard will be hoping he can make it past the quarter-finals following his defeat by Andy Murray at the same stage last year.

Dodig got off to a strong start giving his opponent a run for his money, but Ferrer fought back strongly to deny the Croatian a victory.

Ferrer will face either Andreas Seppi or Juan Martin Del Potro in the quarter-finals.
