Match: Novak Djokovic (SRB) Vs Andy Murray (GBR)
Coverage: BBC One & BBC One HD. Eurosport.
Time: 8:15am GMT
Tomorrow the show down of the year so far takes place, Novak Djokovic Vs. Andy Murray.
No love will be lost between the players. Djokovic is looking for pay back after defeat at the hands of Murray in the US Open final, and the Briton is looking for a second consecutive grand slam win.
Tomorrow Djokovic, who has already won three titles in Melbourne, will be attempting to make history by winning three successive championships since 1967, when Roy Emerson won five in a row.
Murray could also make history on Sunday. If he wins the Australian Open he will become the first man to follow up his maiden grand slam win with another title.
Speaking before Sunday's final, Andy Murray said: "I think so much of it comes down to how you play on the day, to be honest,"
"For the last eight, nine months I feel I have performed to the highest levels that I could. Sometimes I haven't played my best in the big matches and I felt I had let myself down but you also feel like you have let the people who were watching down".
At one point it looked unlikely that Djokovic would even progress through the fourth round, after a close encounter with Stanislas Wawrinka which saw the Serb win the match 12-10 in the tie-break. But, Djokovic recovered and was back to his normal self when he dismantled fourth seed David Ferrer in the semi-finals.
Speaking about his rivalry with Murray, Djokovic said: "I don't know that when we were 11 we knew what a rivalry was at that time," said Djokovic. "We were just trying to play the tennis and enjoy this game.
"As we developed, of course we improved our games, we improved as athletes, as people, and it's nice to see somebody that you grew up with doing so well."
The rivalry has become greater since Rafael Nadal has been recovering from a serious knee injury, but when the Spaniard returns in February we can be certain he will be challenging for titles again, and then there will be three power houses of tennis.
So tomorrow, sit-back and enjoy some world class tennis from one of the most intense rivalries in the world of sport. Sunday's final won't be one we forget anytime soon.
