Murray saw off Becker 6-4 6-3 6-2 on Centre Court on the opening day of the grass court championships.

This is the second time Murray has defeated the German in two weeks, after they met in the quarter finals of Queen's Club where Murray won the tournament.

After letting a 4-1 lead slip with a double-fault on break point, Murray took control in the closing stages of the first two sets before running away with the third.

The second seed showed no sign of having a back injury which forced him out of Roland Garros. Victory was Murray's in just one hour and 53 minutes.
